Sylloge of Aksumite Coins in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford by Wolfgang Hahn and Vincent West presents the important Aksumite coin collection preserved in the Heberden Coin Room of the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford.
The collection comprises approximately 600 coins and covers the complete sequence of coin-striking rulers of the Kingdom of Aksum from the 3rd to the 7th century AD. It is particularly distinguished by the quality and breadth of its gold coinage. A major component of the collection originated from the cabinet of the noted collector and scholar Bent Juel-Jensen.
